The heart of this module is Air4casts’ rigorous data collection methodology; if an airport is not reliably reporting their arriving and departing international or domestic passenger numbers on a regular monthly basis it does not qualify for module inclusion. We collect data back to 1991 and focus the terminal numbers on the years from 2011 to 2040.

Our Forecasting Methodology developed for the Airports 1500 module reruns each month with equal emphasis on the short and long term. The Terminal-a-Page layout allows users to see at a glance how a terminal is performing internationally and domestically and to understand how the terminal fits into the total airport profile.

WHAT DOES THIS PACKAGE CONTAIN?

The infrastructure of today’s airports means that individual terminals can effectively be, in terms of their size, airports in their own right and it is increasingly on the terminal and on the unique mix of passengers passing through that terminal on which marketing and data specialists must concentrate.
This terminal focus brings together both international and domestic flights: important because, since COVID-19 but part of a longer term trend in any case, the physical distinction between international and domestic is being eroded.

WHAT IS THE COVERAGE?

The module covers 2000+ terminals and rising.
To be included in this analysis an airport must be shown to be providing regular monthly updates of its arriving and departing passenger numbers. Reliance on seat capacities derived from the over-hyped flight schedules is not enough.
It shows both international and domestic passenger numbers by month for all of the years from 2011 to 2040.
It sets each terminal in the context of the airport itself.

HOW OFTEN IS IT UPDATED?

Every month the actuals are updated to reflect the latest data releases direct from the airports and based on these actuals the new forecast arrays are calculated.The forecast methodology owes much to that which has been deployed in the Airports 1500 module for over twenty years.

HOW CAN THIS DATA HELP ME?

The module is based on the simple idea of viewing all the essential data for a terminal on a single page, though of course there are further data resources.
It brings together both international and domestic passenger flows.
It shows how, on a monthly/annual basis, numbers have developed over time.
It extends the forecast horizon to 2040 bringing it in line with the established, pre-Covid, conventions of the Airports 1500 module.
As with the Airports 1500 module, subscribers are able to specify a whole range of custom downloads which they can access through their dedicated websites.
